Every August, the streets fill with music, movement, and color, as locals pay tribute to their fishing roots and honor their patron saint, San Roque I grew up hearing about the festival, but nothing compared to the feeling of being in the middle of it — surrounded by drums, dancers, boats, and proud Cebuanos celebrating who we are.
